2nd day

2nd day...the tribulation goes on...today we shared our research titles and 3 RQs. I was up thinking all night what i wanted to do. I have at least 3 topics that i wanted to embark on.

1) Can MARA English teachers compete globally?
2) Are the students in KMB internationally minded?
3) Are the students in KMB adaptive towards the Anglophone culture?

After weighing those questions, i think the easiest would be question 3. So, i  revise the working title and come out with :

A study on 2nd language learners of English adapting to the Anglophone culture

and my RQs are:

I)       What does it mean by the culture of the native speakers?
II)    What are the factors that inhibit them from adapting to the culture?
III) To what extent can the learners assimilate with the Anglophone culture?

I was amongst the first to paste my question on the padlet. i wanted dr johan to discuss my question. Evidently he did. Anyway, the rest of the day we were discussing working titles and RQ. Later that day, after lunch, we had the opportunity to test our knowledge on microsoft words. we were working on citation and bibliography.
He then led us onto different chapters of a research. i just couldn't concentrate much in the afternoon. i guess because i didn't have enough sleep the night before as i had some school work to finish.  Even so, i managed to write down many of the important points he wishes us to work on...okay dokie..more homework there....

Good luck to me..but i have to say it has been an enriching experience...Tq MARA for making it happen.
